An intimate, whimsical white wedding at Caffino
Some spaces already feel like a secret. Caffino is one of those places. Twinkling lights, brick walls, and that tucked-away courtyard that feels like you have the city to yourselves.
For Camilla and Josh, we leaned into that cozy, hidden-gem feeling with an intimate celebration that felt soft, whimsical and very them. Our studio handled floral design and wedding coordination, so we were there from the first design call to the last candle being blown out.
The vision
From the beginning, Camilla knew she wanted white flowers, but not the usual imported suspects. She was drawn to that wild, airy, almost meadow-like feeling, just in a soft neutral palette that would let Caffino’s character shine.
The brief sounded like this:
Intimate and warm, not overdone
Whimsical, but still refined
A white palette with movement and texture
Florals that felt fresh from the garden, not stiff or formal
We built the design around local white flowers, which is rarer than it sounds. White varieties can be trickier to source locally in the right window, so we worked closely with our growers to bring in delicate stems like foxglove and orlaya, along with other seasonal blooms that kept the palette soft, layered and interesting.
The florals
The flowers became the quiet storytellers of the day. Think:
Airy, garden-style arrangements with little pops of height from white foxglove
Orlaya adding that lacy, wildflower detail
Soft, layered textures that felt like they were growing right out of the tables
Candles woven through the flowers so everything glowed once the sun went down
Because the palette was white on white, we focused on shape, negative space and how the light would hit each arrangement once guests sat down. It felt romantic and whimsical without ever tipping into overly traditional.
Coordination behind the scenes
For this wedding, we were not only designing the florals. We were also handling wedding coordination, which meant we were in the room with them all night, quietly fixing and adjusting so they did not have to think about a single detail.
Throughout the day and evening, we were:
Checking table settings, napkins and menus, making sure everything matched the design plan
Resetting candles and florals as the room flipped from day to night
Guiding the timeline and cueing key moments so everything flowed naturally
Problem-solving the small things guests never see, so Camilla and Josh could just be present
That blend of design, florals and coordination is what made the wedding feel cohesive. The space looked beautiful, but it also ran smoothly. Guests felt cared for. The couple actually got to enjoy their own party.
An evening that felt like them
By the time the lights dimmed and the candles were fully doing their thing, Caffino felt like a little world built just for them. The white florals and soft greenery played perfectly with the brick and twinkle lights. Glasses clinked, plates came out, and you could feel that easy, intimate energy they wanted from the start.
It was whimsical and romantic, but still unfussy, exactly how Camilla and Josh imagined it.
