Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Maria- the founder of Dereves Floral Studio, lead wedding florist, and event designer based in Toronto. Since 2017, I’ve helped hundreds of couples and creative business owners bring their floral visions to life, with work featured in People Magazine, Toronto Life.
What began as a creative hobby soon grew into a thriving business, rooted in artistry, strategy, and a passion for sustainability.
Through years of planning weddings, teaching floral design workshops, and navigating the business side of floristry, I discovered how powerful it is to have systems in place, especially when it comes to ordering and pricing flowers. That’s why I created the Dereves Flower Calculator: to help florists, planners, and DIY couples feel confident, prepared, and inspired (no matter where you’re starting).
I believe that floral design should be accessible, stress-free, and deeply personal. My goal is to support you with the same tools, guides, and insider tricks I use in my own studio, so you can focus on what matters most: creating beauty and celebrating every milestone.
If you have questions, want to share your floral story, or need a bit of advice, I’d love to connect.
Warmly,
Maria
